I've been a fan of This Is The Kit for a long time but this was only my second time seeing them. The first time was last summer at Tramlines when Kate had banjo problems.
Support came from Barbarossa, a two piece electro band, who I'd never heard of before. They were quite good, I think the singer had quite an androgynous voice that reminded me a lot of Rhye.
This Is The Kit were very good. Despite having a fair few albums of great songs to choose from the set consisted mostly of new material meaning quite a lot of my favourite songs didn't get played. I don't think that mattered though as it was a great performance. This Is The Kit seem much more like a general feeling than specific songs, I think. Great musicianship and good chat between songs.
I like Hubs as venue. I saw a few acts there at Tramlines and this gig too and it has seemed to have good, clear sound each time.
