We went to see Alvvays at the Leadmill. I'd liked 'Archie, Marry Me' for a long time but the rest of their first album hadn't ever really clicked. After the first two singles from their latest album- 'Antisocialites' were released I listened to the first album again and everything seemed to make much more sense.
Spinning Coin(?) supported but I didn't hear much of their set as Erin was late. Alvvays were really solid live and sounded very close to the record. There wasn't much spontaneity, everything seemed pretty well drilled. I enjoyed it a lot though.
